Here is one more example of how potent the internet can be for marketing. Till a few months ago, Samsung and Sony were similar in sales numbers in LCDs and other consumer goods. Then Sony chose to tap the power of YouTube and the likes whereas Sony continued with traditional advertising channels. The figures now show a 9% increase in sales in favor of Samsung. I am skeptical about this figure. Sales may have increased in the short term.What will happen in the long term?
